Open and honest conversation to help participants discover spiritual and other solutions for everyday challenges
The First Sunday Discussion Group (in-person only) is a sharing circle for both men and women desiring sacred space to talk about the challenges in their lives in atmosphere of non-judgment and shared vulnerability. Participation is open to the public as well as Unity Sachse members. Because most of the participants are Unity members, spiritual principle and Unity philosophy is often a part of the discussion. However, participants need not espouse our pinciples and philiosophy to be a part of the group experience.
There is no admission charge. However if participants would like to leave a love offering in gratitude for the experience and/or to help defray the costs of any materials and facility use, we appreciate it.
Agreements for the group include:
-We express ourselves with authenticity
-We lean into discomfort; we are willing to learn.
-We do not advise or “should” others. We speak about what works for us.
-We lean into our emotions. Vulnerability is encouraged.
-We ask for what we need and offer what we can.
-We listen to understand.
-We assume good intent, until proven otherwise.
-We give ourselves and each other grace.
-We are fully present and use technology only in emergencies.
-What we say and who shares stay in the circle; the wisdom we gain can leave the circle .
